Happy New Year Everyone! We feel like the holidays went so quickly this year, just as the year itself. So welcome 2015 and let's take a minute to look back at our holiday season....

| Sending letters off to Santa |

| Mama hanging out with reindeer |
December 6th is St. Nicholas' Day. So we put our shoes out and see if we are blessed with treats.
We enjoyed ourselves at the Hemophilia of Indiana Holiday party. Santa was there to give out a gift.
This year, the whole family went to see the Nutcracker. It was Mama's first one back to her alma mater since dancing in it years ago. We all really enjoyed this holiday tradition...
Mama and her friends, snuck out one night to catch the Season 5 premiere of Downton Abbey. They dressed up in honor of such a great occassion.

| 20s glam |
Elias discovered Daddy's trumpet. In Flora Family tradition, he has really taken to it. I think we have another brass blower in our family (like his father and grandfather before him...)
More holiday silliness...
 |
| Emmett was really scared of Santa this year. Not too scared for a #selfie. |
 |
| Elias' decorated ornament at City Sidewalks |
 |
| The world's tallest Christmas tree is in Indiana |
 |
| Meeting St. Nicholas |
 |
| Telling Santa that he's been good. |
Christmas Eve
Opa and Oma joined us for Christmas this year. Elias was showered with all things Harry Potter and Emmett with Star Wars. There were bricks, games, and Nerf guns under the tree as well..
 |
| Master builder |
 |
| New Harry Potter LEGOs |
 |
| Katniss and Peeta |
This year, we started a new Christmas tradition of rising in a one-horse open sleigh around downtown to see all the lights. Luckily we were blessed with 40-50 degree weather...
 |
| Our horse Spirit...she is the spirit of Christmas future |
The only unfortunate thing that happened during our Christmas season was what happened to many families across the city (and USA): The Christmas Plague of 2014. It was a combination of really bad respiratory infection and stomach flu. We all went down one by one, and are finally emerging today.
So for 2015, we are looking forward to Health, Balance, Kindness, and Relationships.
Happy New Year everyone from our Barrel to yours!
