First Day of Kindergarten

Elias had his first day of Kindergarten today! He jumped out of bed, dressed himself, and didn't think twice about getting settled into his new classroom. Ms. Sullivan is his teacher and she is great! Elias' only report/complaint for the day was that he didn't get to sit next to his teacher.

Someone Got His Hairs Did!

So Mama finally broke down and took Baby E in to get his baby curls trimmed off. We went to Sandy the Barber because she is a neighborhood legend and gem. She plays 40s swing music in her vintage barber shop. The boys love her. Sandy has Candy along with stories for days….

End Days of Summer….

Yes, we realize it is only August 1st today, but we here in Indy are on the balanced calendar for school and frankly, the weather has been unseasonably cool (on record the coldest July ever!). So this week, we wrapped up a huge milestone for our oldest little monkey: Preschool!

This summer we did the proper introduction of Star Wars by allowing our monkeys to view all 6 movies. This weekend we wrapped up the series….

Apparently Yoda has gotten a part time job in addition to Jedi responsibilities.

 The Children's Museum has a wonderful exhibit this summer showcasing Chinese culture. Since Daddy has lived there and Elias will be learning Mandarin this year, we immersed ourselves in China.
