May you have all the catnip in the sky

Today was a very sad day in our barrel. This morning we lost one of our brood. Page, the Big Black Furry Creature From Mars, came to live with Mama 14 years ago at Butler, emerging from the Alpha Phi house as a wee kitten. She was a good pet, although at times she clashed with Daddy. She lived with Mama in Cleveland and then settled with our family in Indy, surviving two small boys. She always preferred girls and loved to sleep next to Mama at night. This morning she died of being an old cat with a few medical conditions. Her little body (although upwards near 20 lbs at one time) just simply failed her. Mama took her into Dr W at the veterinarian to be put at peace.  She purred in Mama's hand with her head nestled in it like she loved right up to the very last second. We love you little kitty. We hope that Heaven has fields and fields of catnip and that you are now playing with your brothers Trey and Wilson again.

Whimsy in the White City

This past weekend, our little band of monkeys went north to the white city on the lake for a bit of Phishing and a good time.

Of course a stop to the Lego store...

Tio Alex's first show!

Mexican Cousins….

We visited the Field Museum seeking out some history….

Booger Alert!

Mama totally geeked out with this special exhibit

Old and older
The Dinos are always the highlight!

Picnic in the hotel room? Sure!

Since Mama, Daddy, and Tio Alex got to go Phishing each night, the other monkeys wanted some fishing of their own at the Shedd Aquarium.

Mama and Daddy almost didn't make it to the last night after Mama mistook the envelop their tickets were being stored in for trash. Well since Daddy loves Phish so much, he dove in a couple of dumpsters to find them! All covered in thick strawberry goo (not really but it was blue….)

Good thing because 7/20/14 was an epic show--best yet of the tour and one of the best of all time!

The Fourth with Family

July is really turning out to be a great month! Nothing but mild temperatures and a bit of rain (not to mention a weekend of fall temps from more of that Polar Vortex!) The Fourth of July brought us some special guests all the way from California! Oma and Opa!!!

Best view in town! Our back yard.

Swarm Street finally opened and our trail is complete!

We also caught up with some art in the SE Quad

A fun time was had by all.

The World Cup also finished up in July.

Watching USA being eliminated by Belgium
with 6,500 of our closest futbol friends on Mass Ave.

Argentina versus Deutschland in the finale!

Emmett really wanted die Manschaft to win...

And they did! 1:0, with a goal made in overtime!
Our neighborhood had a little block party hosted by Angie's List. D.D came to celebrate with us!
