Do do do do do do do....Halloween!

Happy Halloween from the Barrel! We have been busy with parties, pumpkin carving, candy and of course Trick-o-Treating. Elias chose to be Batman/Super Elias this year.

First Up: Trunk or Treating with Grandma and Grandpa

Silly Safari brought some interesting animals

Next Up: The neighborhood halloween party

Then we shared with our Mexican friends the tradition of pumpkin carving. Mama made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and popcorn while the kids decorated their parental-carved pumpkins.

Of course you cannot forget trick-or-treating.....

Scored!
So we asked Elias what his favorite thing about Halloween was and he promptly proclaimed, "Candy!!!!" And his favorite candy? Suckers.

Super Baby is staying nice and warm in Mama's belly and so could not represent as Robin, the boy wonder. Looks like we will get to meet him sometime in November.

Go Dawgs!

Each year, Mama and Daddy like to venture back to where it all started...Butler University. They go to visit old friends during homecoming and to walk campus.

For 1 hour, Elias went up and down this bounce slide

Operation Pumpkin

Well it's fall here at the Barrel and we are getting ready for Halloween. So today was operation pumpkin: the annual hunt for the perfect Halloween pumpkin. We went again to Trader's Point Creamery to sample in some deliciousness while we were there.

Ice Cream fuel for our hunt...

I think we found some good ones!

End Days of Summer

Sorry Folks for being tardy on our summer adventures' posts. With Super Baby's arrival quickly approaching, we are trying to get in all our last minute fun and well, Mommy has been VERY tired. So here's a little recap of our end of summer fun as the weather turns cold and the leaves turn colors outside.

Giving kisses to his brother

Elias wrote Mommy a letter. Apparently he wanted someone else...
Elias has taken a VERY strong interest in super heroes. Everyday he is someone new: Batman, Spiderman, Captain America.... He loves to dress up in a cape and display his super powers.
We went to the Latino Festival and got our Spidey face on..

Watch out, it's Batman!
At our neighborhood picnic, Elias got to sit in Fire Engine No. 3 and pretended he was a real fireman.

This year we walked again for the Annual Hemophilia Walk. We had a great turn out and met our fundraising goal. Thank you Hiking for Hemos!

Elias' babysitter got married and we went to her wedding. It was a perfect evening and great fun was had by all.

Hiding in Chey's dress

Summer was great, but we are sure that Fall will be Super! Stay tuned for some Halloween treats and our new little monkey.
